Welcome!

Who am I? The question we all ask, and maybe struggle to answer. Who am I in terms of what I have achieved? I have a Raynor Massage Diploma and am a Reiki Master Instructor. I’m certified as a Sundoor Firewalk Instructor and Empowerment Coach, Kundalini Yoga and Yoga Nidra Instructor, Integrative Breathwork and Pranayama Facilitator, Warrior Goddess and Warrior Heart Facilitator, and a near lifelong student of astrology and the plant world.

But that still does not answer the question, “Who am I?” I would say that I am not so much a healer as I am a guide. A multidimensional guide, a facilitator of the mystery, the shadow and the light. An intuitive, a bridge builder, a conduit between heaven and earth, bridging body, mind, and soul with earth and spirit. Deeply connected to nature, I am a plant communicator in touch with the heartbeat of Mother Earth and the plant allies. I connect the spirits of the natural world to the spirit within. A tender of the sacred fires within and without. Ultimately, I am an embodied, heart-centered wise woman with a mission on this planet to help others live wild and well.

This lifetime has been quite the journey. I have participated in many different teachings, and my work has been to beautifully weave them together with my own life experiences, hardships, struggles, and transformations to create my own unique imprint on this world.

Here’s a little bit about how I got here…

My Story

From as young as I can remember, I have identified with a greater universal energy—whether we want to call that God, the Universe, Spirit, Creator.

I was incredibly blessed as a young child to grow up in a family deeply connected to the land. My childhood memories include having pet squirrels (that were brought home as rescued babies), watching my grandmother bottle feed fawns, and touching noses with a young black bear through a sheet of glass at our family’s backcountry cabin.

I have spent more hours of my life in the backcountry than I could attempt to even guess. My dad and extended family gifted me with a love and understanding that I never fully grasped how important and meaningful it was until much later in my adult life.

Like many of you, as the years went by, I experienced events in my life that caused me to close off from my gifts and disconnect from my intuition. But then I had what could be called a spiritual awakening. It all came back to me and I headed down a path of immense healing and transformation. A path that reshaped my entire life, inside and out.

As I traveled this road, 2017 rolled around and something was rumbling deep inside of me. A calling. A purpose. Something that was too big to ignore. My first step was completing Level 2 Shamballa Energetics & Reiki Practitioner training. I followed that by becoming a Usui Reiki Master Instructor.

I proceeded to complete both the Warrior Goddess and Warrior Heart Facilitator programs. I personally trained with the founder, HeatherAsh Amara; her teachings are rooted in ancient Toltec wisdom, which has been largely re-introduced to the masses through Don Miguel Ruiz and his family (Four Agreements, Mastery of Love, Wisdom of the Shamans, etc). The Toltec teachings are guiding principles in much of my work.

While in Sedona completing my Warrior Goddess training, I was blessed to meet Sarah Marshank, another amazing soul who authored the book, Being Selfish, and developed a modality called Selfistry. Finding Sarah and her work was another life-changing moment for me and I continue to work with her and Selfistry to this day.

The start of 2020 helped me complete the bridge that brings together the body, mind, and soul. I earned my diploma in Raynor Massage and was ready to hit the ground running. And we all know how the rest of that year went down. I was prepared to hit the gas when the world came to a complete standstill.

This gave me an opportunity to go even deeper into my own personal transformation. I took advantage of the “time out.” And this also gave me time to build my knowledge and wisdom in the plant medicine world. I engaged in a Plant Medicine Apprenticeship with one of my peers, and also enroled in a herbalism program that I continue to work on in 2024.

Both of those teachings take a vitalist approach to plant medicine, which is incredibly important to me. It means that we honour the spirit of the plant, the land, the earth, the ancestors, and we look at the plant as a whole and the role it plays on every level of the body.

I also completed Yoga Nidra teacher training in 2022, and Kundalini Yoga teacher training in 2023. Continually immersing myself in a variety of teachings and weaving together different modalities is very important to me, as I believe we best serve ourselves and others when we don’t limit ourselves to one way of thinking, being, and doing. Having the ability to keep expanding and weaving allows me to help people of all backgrounds, genders, and age groups.

And running with that theme, I stepped into a new space in June of 2024; I traveled to the sacred site of Teotihuacan in Mexico where I became a Certified Sundoor Firewalk Instructor and Empowerment Coach! Trained by HeatherAsh Amara and the mama of the western firewalking movement herself, Peggy Dylan. While I integrated that experience over the summer of 2024, I also completed my Integrative Breathwork and Pranayama Facilitator certification.

This work—this business—is my passion. It is my life, the guiding principles that I live, parent, and work by. My business first started out as Violet Flame Holistic Healing and after returning to my roots in Creston, BC and relocating to an acreage in the forest, it naturally evolved to Wild Woods Wellness.

A personal journey of hardship, struggle, and triumph, that included everything from health problems to divorce to job loss, led to profound growth and transformation, which ultimately brought me to this time and place.

I have reclaimed myself and aligned with my calling as a holistic healer. I honour the ancestors, grandmothers and fathers, and sisters and brothers who walked before me, and bring forward their ancient wisdom and my own inner knowing and whole-hearted commitment to help others on this path of expansion.

I hope that you will join me.
