FIREWALKING
Where You Bravely Break Through Barriers, Reclaim Your Power, and
Open to Untapped Potential
Firewalking is an ancient practice used all around the world; join us in this transformative experience where ancient ritual meets personal breakthrough in a safe, supportive, and sacred community.
“The firewalk is a perfect symbol for our times when it seems like the fires of life are burning out of control. We have a tendency to pull back from challenges, to recoil from the horrors currently facing the human race. This is not a time when we can afford to pull away. We need to step out and bring our balance to this world…The firewalk tells us to step into the fire, that hesitation is the robber — that fear steals away power. But if we step into the fires in our lives, we will be given the energy, the power to overcome, to heal, to soothe those fires that seem presently so uncontrollable to us.”
~ Peggy Dylan, Sundoor Founder, and Mama of the Western Firewalking Movement

Walking on fire allows us to recreate our reality, to challenge beliefs that are not true, and within that, we begin to get curious with the rest of our reality and approach life’s challenges in all new ways.
What is one of the first things that we are taught from the youngest age? “Fire burns. Hot. Don’t touch.” It’s generally accepted as a universal law. But what if it wasn’t true? And if that’s not true, what else in our lives and our world might not be true?
Welcome to a turning point in your life. Where you break limiting beliefs and shatter agreements that you didn’t even realize were holding you back. And what you learn and experience here will guide you in new ways to overcome the challenges that you face in your life.
I personally trained with Peggy Dylan—the founder of Sundoor International and the mother of the western firewalking movement—and HeatherAsh Amara—the founder of Warrior Goddess, best-selling author, mentor, and teacher. And I lead my firewalks in the Sundoor way; as a sacred practice where I serve as a guide and we always meet the fire as our teacher.
Firewalking is a deeply personal journey within a connected, conscious community in a safe and supportive sacred container. We allow the alchemical element of fire to burn away all that no longer serves in our lives while also opening to reclaim all the parts of ourselves that have been lost, forgotten, and otherwise disconnected. It’s a space where we are able to claim our power, expand our potential, and, like a phoenix, rise from the ashes.
It’s not mind over matter as much as it is a matter of energy. You are not necessarily conquering or crushing your fears, but bravely facing them and courageously walking through them. You learn how to use fear as your friend, not fight it as your enemy.
This is a powerful experience that invites us to examine and challenge our beliefs and expand our perspective. We get to see and feel just how incredibly powerful we are as humans, experiencing what it means to be human in an entirely new and different way. And we raise our consciousness in the most incredible way without the use of substances to get there. It’s an experience that stays with us for the rest of our lives.
My first experience walking on fire in Sedona was nothing that I expected, and everything that I needed it to be. That fire taught me BIG lessons. It plunged me into my heart, my feminine energy, to heal it. I had to see, feel, experience, and believe in my own power, not just as a fierce warrior, but as a magical goddess. That fire wanted me to believe in myself, my gifts, my magic. It was showing me the power that I carry every day in all of life.
I was initiated on that fire, and also knew that experience was just the beginning. There was more to come. That door reopened when I traveled to Teotihuacan, Mexico to become a Sundoor Certified Firewalk Instructor and Empowerment Coach.
I share this work because I not only believe in it, I live it. I walk it. Every single day. I have yet to meet someone that did not experience life-changing shifts after attending a firewalk, and I CANNOT WAIT for you to be next.
We as humans are truly magical. Everything within us and surrounding us is energy, and our power and abilities are far greater than anything most of us can imagine, see, or understand beyond our self-limiting doubts, beliefs, fears, stories, and conditions. When we begin to break through those barriers, incredible things start to happen.
When we firewalk, we not only come into relationship with the fire, we let go and come into relationship with the mystery. We get to safely explore the nature of our fears, limiting beliefs, and stories. We learn how to trust our bodies. We expand our consciousness, claim our power and gain a deeper understanding that there’s so much to the mystery that we simply don’t know, and that science cannot explain.
So, are you ready to reclaim yourself and live wild and well beyond what your mind can currently perceive? Let’s experience the alchemy and magic of fire together!

“We live in a community of people who mirror the land we live on; a community of people where fire suppression has been practiced too long, a society packed with ignitable tinder, people ready to explode at any moment, where violence is a way of life. Nature is teaching us that our wildlands need to burn for renewal, and in the same way, we human beings need to renew ourselves by allowing the inner fires, the fire of spirit, to burn passionately.”
~ Peggy Dylan, Sundoor Founder, and Mama of the Western Firewalking Movement
FAQs
Can I attend even though I might not walk? YES! Participation in the actual firewalk is always voluntary, and the medicine of the fire is as potent and transformative whether you choose to walk or not. You are supported and empowered to tune in and trust your body and follow your own inner guidance.
But will my feet burn? Fire is a natural element of nature, and yes, it comes with an element of risk. However, I have been personally trained by both founding and leading teachers in the industry and the workshop includes instruction for safe and proper methods for walking. When you follow my lead and your inner guidance, burns are extremely rare and don’t cause serious injury.
How long will the firewalk last? The event includes a fun and transformative workshop prior to the actual walk, as well as a post-walk check-in afterwards with snacks. Every group is different, but you can expect the entire event to run approx. 4-5 hours.
Do I need to bring anything or prepare in advance? There is nothing that you need to prepare in advance and you will be provided with instructions a week or so prior of what to bring/how to dress. It is important to note that firewalk events are SUBSTANCE FREE; there is no alcohol, cannabis, etc to be consumed during or prior to the event.
What is the refund policy once I have paid? Once you are registered and paid, there are no refunds. You are welcome to transfer your registration to a friend and if you absolutely can’t make it, contact me at least 48 hours prior to the event and we will look at crediting you for a future firewalk. No-shows will not receive refunds or future credits.
Can I book a private firewalk for an event? Yes, absolutely! We can book in for private groups, celebrations, celebrations of life, corporate events (think team building and empowerment), weddings, and pretty much anything you can think of. Send me an email at danette@wildwoodswellness.ca and let’s see if we can make this happen.
Can I contact you to host a firewalk in my community or on my property? Yes, absolutely! Send me an email at danette@wildwoodswellness.ca and let’s see if we can make this happen.
